How the platforms differ

eBay Live commission uses the sale amount that includes item price, buyer-paid shipping, handling, and estimated buyer sales tax. Its commission has a $100 per-item cap. Whatnot commission uses the final item sale price and the seller's current earned tier for the show category.

eBay Live processing uses its full fee basis. Whatnot processing uses item price, buyer-paid shipping, and buyer sales tax, plus a fixed transaction fee. Whatnot's public documentation does not establish buyer-paid handling treatment for this estimate.

A Whatnot tier is earned from the previous 28-day period; this calculator does not infer it from current sales. If you use your actual final uniform commission rate, tier and other commission discounts are not stacked onto it.

Some combinations, including potentially eligible sales above $1,500 where the high-value promotion interacts with earned tiers, remain unavailable. The calculator keeps the valid eBay Live result and omits the difference.
